Daughter not returned

Keva shukan ma parvate aapi hashe vidaay,
ke nij ghar thi nikli nadi paachhi fari nathi.
-JALAN MATARI
(The river, after leaving her father i.e. the mountain, has not returned.he must have seen her off on an odd day.)
The river has a destiny to go ahead and ahead.there's no u-turn on her route to the ocean.it will die on her way and not meet the ocean but not look back in tear or fear.
For the non-indian readers of this blog,i'l have to explain indian ritual to make the things clear.when you marry your daughter, she goes to her husband's house forever.ofcourse, she visits her parents' home, but it's just a 'visit'.she comes, she stays for some days, enjoys the break and returns to her in-law house.that's it.yes, there comes a day in the year when she will surely go to her brother.it's rakhshabandhan day,a major festival of the hindus when she ties a sacred thread on the right hand wrist of her brother which will protect him from all evils.the river cannot enjoy even her birthright the way her hindu sisters do.
Well,it's her destiny. What we see in the river is water.what really there is filled in it is tears.she must be missing her parents' home.
As i'm coming to the end of this post,i can't check myself from mentioning another superb couplet from the same poem:
shradhdha no ho vishay to puraava ni shi jaroor!
Quraan ma to kyanye Payambar ni sahi nathi.
(in the matter of faith, one should not expect proofs and documents.Prophet Mohammad has not put His signature at the end of Quran-e-Sharif,the religious book of the islam.)
